Land squid

Unlike squid of the sea

Stacking up high, as high as can be

For despite your name

The sky's your domain

And one day you'll all fly free

What are your schemes?

You're awfully sus with your sky-reaching dreams

With each passing hour

Multiplying your power

And dividing into squid-stacking teams

Land squid

What are you actually? 

Watching me now, with aggressive neutrality

I see thousands meet

Stacked hundreds of feet

And making your dream a reality

Your teamwork's admirable

Being quite honest, you're kind of adorable

Perhaps it could be

That the problem was me

And nothing you want is abhorable

Wait, nevermind

Intolerant to those that aren't of your kind

No need to be furious

I was just curious

And now I'm in quite the bind

Land squid

Have quite the capacity

For tying knots with surprising complexity

I'm dangled from a tree

Not a chance to break free

And I'm shouting so many obscenities 

‍

Land squid

I knew not to trust you

Though from my view your tower's askew

One gentle wind 

Could see an end to this thing

And these hapless squids have no clue

With the end drawing near

About to reach the stratosphere

The wind blows your way

The stack starts to sway

And the squid yell out in fear

Land squid

In a twist so unreal

Curls the stack up into a ferris wheel

With squid all a-spin

They laugh as they win

And I don't even know how to feel

‍

Tree human

What a silly lil guy

Dangling up there in a tree so high

Covered with grime

What a bad time

And glaring as squid pass them by
