Here in these halls—
Since cycles old and cycles broken
The clocks are mute, and yet outspoken
Slivers of moonlight dance carefree
Right in the face of your uncertainty
A seer's guess grants wisdom old
But a jester's jest is worth tenfold
Words alone shift cosmic scales
Ancient trials become ancient tales
You reflect, you pause, you contemplate,
There's a chill in here... did you close the gate?
Here in these halls— recent or older—
Here in these halls— It is growing colder—
The puzzle here doesn't shy from lies
The truth herself wears many a guise
Paradox reigns where gospels sing desire
We clammer to climb some distant spire
Your faith falters—
cry, scream, bleed as you please
Or pray at some alter and beg on your knees
You find you're lost but know why you're here
Your motives are pure yet insincere
It is time— step fourth— the enigma is you;
The clue, the question and the answer, too
Here in these halls—
Since cycles old and cycles broken
The clocks are mute, and yet outspoken
Slivers of moonlight dance carefree
Right in the face of your uncertainty
A seer's guess grants wisdom old
But a jester's jest is worth tenfold
Words alone shift cosmic scales
