Fate's Mystic Keep

Amber hues where crystals gleam,

Majestic mountains shape the scene

A lone shadow starts to climb,

As daylight fades, the stars align

‍

Silks unfurl, ancient cloths unfold,

Secrets whispered throughout time are told

He checks his watch, tight-bound and bright,

Twilight drags day into night

‍

Deeper he delves, the dreams recall,

When fabled Fate's Keeper, risked it all

Dizziness clouds his sight and mind,

For he is in a land only he can find

‍

In Shadows' grasp, he walks alone,

Through winding paths and fields of stone

With every step, the air wanes colder,

His heart beats faster, his courage bolder

‍

The moon above, a watchful guide,

Rattles-off secrets long denied

A hallowed ground, a realm untied,

Where legends dwell and dreams go to die

‍

The stars, too, they dance and shimmer

As his footsteps grow yet dimmer

Ascending at last, he broadens the peak,

He stands before Fate's Mystic Keep

‍

With trembling hands, he grasps the door,

Deeper and deeper the Dreamer explores

Eternal wisdoms await inside,

But from mortal eyes they flutter and hide

‍

Yet... the tapestry of life unfurls,

In cursive, a scribble of  Fate's incursive swirls

He reads then, his mind boiling over, his eyes aglow,

The secrets of Fate's Keeper he will know

‍

He is worthy? Worthy how?

Why here? Why now?

Fate you fool!

You've doomed us all!

He alone, holding back Shadow's domain?

As with the moon, seasons wax and wane

He will die, Fate, see what you've done?

You should know this better than anyone.

‍

...And when he left the mountains high,

The stars whispered a grateful sigh,

Finally,

Rest

Amber hues where crystals gleam,

Majestic mountains shape the scene

A lone shadow starts to climb,

As daylight fades, the stars align

‍

Silks unfurl, ancient cloths unfold,
